What Is the #PullUpOrShutUp Challenge?

In an attempt to bring more attention to systematic racism amid the George Floyd protests, UOMA Beauty’s founder Sharon Chuter is asking brands to share how many black people they employ in a challenge called #PullUpOrShutUp.

11 Black-Owned Beauty Brands to Support Right Now — Shop Their Top Products

In an Instagram Video on Wednesday, June 3, Chuter asked companies that have come out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement to make public its number of black employees.

“We are asking all corporations/brands who went black yesterday to release the number of black employees they have at a corporate and executive level,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. “Show us you really mean it and you are ready to stop being a part of the system of oppression and marginalization.”

These people she said should include those in leadership, corporate and executive levels, not in the field of retail store employees. Those without proper black representation she asked companies to explain how they plan to address and change this.

She continues, asking consumers not to purchase anything from these organizations for 72 hours or until they release this information.

Black-Owned Fashion Brands You Can Support Now — and Celebs Love Them!

YouTuber Jackie Aina joined Chuter, posting her very own video addressing and speaking out for the cause.

“Dear brands and corporations, thank you for your public statements of support for the black community. Be conscious that to ignore the role you have played and continue to play in depriving black people access to economic participation, demonstrates a lack of genuine desire for lasting change,” she wrote in the accompanying caption on Wednesday. “We call on EVERYBODY to stand in solidarity with us in holding brands and corporations accountable.”

She concluded, “Ask these brands to PULL UP OR SHUT UP. ALL BRANDS that have had partnerships with me, I challenge and highly encourage all of you to participate.”

Kelis’ Hair Makeover: ‘Bossy’ Singer Debuts Protest-Inspired Look Dedicated To ‘My People’ — See Pic

Kelis used her platform — and her hair — to make a bold statement. The singer shared her new hairdo, dedicated to her ‘peoples blood that was spilled,’ in a new Instagram post. See the before and after photos.

Kelis sent a powerful message with her new hair style, one that she showed off on her Instagram account on June 4. In the image, the “Bossy” singer, 40, turned her back to the camera, which captured her platinum blonde, buzzed haircut. This time, however, Kelis’s ‘do had a new addition of a fist outline with green, black, and red dye near the nape of her neck, which you can see below.

RED FOR MY PEOPLES BLOOD THAT WAS SPILLED . BLACK WE ARE THE PEOPLE . GREEN FOR THE LAND THAT IS OURS. I ❤️MY PEOPLE

A post shared by Kelis (@kelis) on

“Red for my peoples blood that was spilled. Black we are the people. Green for the land that is ours. I [heart] my people,” Kelis captioned the image in capital letters. The red, black, and green colors also serve to symbolize the Black Liberation flag, a tri-color flag that features the colors in horizontal stripes.

It’s a bold statement from the singer, who is clearly standing in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Throughout her current Instagram story, Kelis has posted resources, viral videos, and messages directed toward racial injustice and inciting white people, specifically, to educate themselves on the fraught history between the justice system, police, and the Black community. And Kelis is not alone in using her platform.

Across the globe, public figures and celebrities alike have been using their heightened profiles to speak out and show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, following the brutal death of unarmed Black man George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers. Stars like Halsey, Keke Palmer, Harry Styles and more have taken to the streets of Los Angeles to protest systemic racism and police brutality, while at the same time, actors like John Boyega have given impassioned speeches to a bevy of protesters in London. A number of stars like Cole Sprouse have been arrested for their efforts, but have used the opportunity to turn the focus back on the Black Lives Matter movement.

Protests continue across the country to this day, while the COVID-19 pandemic persists. Many stars, like Kelis, have been using their social media as a means of heightening awareness. Beyonce, herself, took to social media to remind her fans and followers to maintain their focus during this time. But as the peaceful rallies continue on, many are looking for further resources to educate themselves and donate to, some of which you can find here.

Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin & More Celebs Proving The ’90s Are Back By Rocking Scrunchies

From overalls to crop tops, there are plenty of iconic ’90s trends that have made a comeback, but one of our favorite revived looks is the scrunchie & everyone from Gigi Hadid to Hailey Baldwin has worn the hair accessory.

With the onset of summer, we’ve been dying to find ways to keep cool – but sometimes wearing shorts and T-shirts just isn’t enough. If you’re not looking to get a bob haircut this season, you’re likely looking for a way to keep your long locks off the back of your neck. The best news is there’s a super cute way to do that – and it’s something you definitely used in your childhood, too. As with most ’90s fashion trends, the scrunchie is officially back in style and we couldn’t be more thrilled to put our hair up with the oversized hair ties.

Gigi Hadid is a huge fan of scrunchies and the supermodel is always throwing her long blonde hair up into a ponytail or messy bun. On May 20, Gigi rocked two trends at once when she opted to slick back her hair into a straight back low bun to keep her hair out of her face. She rocked an oversized pink Polo Ralph Lauren Linen Logo Embroidered Shirt with a bright yellow Emi Jay Tie Dye Scrunchie in Lemonade – tie-dye being one of the biggest trends of the season. She rocked yet another tie-dye scrunchie on April 24 when she wore a blue tank top, throwing her hair into a high bun securing it with a blue Emi Jay Tie Dye Scrunchie and accessorizing with a gold Missoma Axiom Chain Necklace.

Another one of our favorite looks from her was back in September when she was out in NYC wearing a dark-wash Fenty Denim Corset Dress with high-waisted jeans, Gimaguas Cherry Beads Earrings, a pair of For the Memory of a Lifetime Red Fake Croc Cowboy Boots, a Louis Vuitton Pochette Volga Monogram Rouge, and a Jacquie Aiche Opal Inlay Eye Pendant Necklace.

Scrunchies are beloved by plenty of the biggest tastemakers today. Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin had a twinning moment (much like you and your bestie back in the 3rd grade) when they showed up at a Levi’s brunch during Coachella 2018 both wearing scrunchies in their hair. The models made sure the piece stood out by opting for colors that contrasted with their hair; Bella wore a white one in her brunette hair while Hailey rocked a black one in her blonde locks.

Even if you do have short hair, you don’t need to miss out on this trend! Stars like Dakota Johnson and Jason Momoa have turned the scrunchie into cute bracelets by wearing them around their wrists. (They look way better than the standard black tie that you normally wear on your wrist!) Dakota donned a navy one with her strapless Gucci jumpsuit for the 2019 Independent Spirit Awards on Feb. 23. The following day, Jason hit up the Academy Awards wearing a light pink one by Fendi that perfectly matched his feminine colored suit by the same designer. Head up to the gallery above to see how even more stars have styled scrunchies!

NHS worker updates her dated brown outdoor sofa cushions for £8 using fence paint & the difference is incredible

A MUM updated her brown outdoor sofa cushions using a lick of fence paint, and the difference is incredible.

Gemma, from Staffordshire, was fed up with her drab outdoor sofa covers, so she ‘took the plunge’ and gave them a makeover.

The NHS worker picked up a tub of Ronseal fence paint, for £8, in a chic Slate shade and painted it straight onto the cushions.

The result is what looks like a brand new set of sofa cushions, and people are seriously impressed with the result.

She shared her budget transformation to Facebook group Gardening On A Budget Official, where it’s racked up hundreds of likes.

Gemma, who painted the cushions while on annual leave, said: “I took the plunge!!

“Not so nice brown cushions…… £8 later, ta daaaaa!

“The transformation is incredible I think!”

People have been inspired to try out her tip on their own garden furniture, with one person saying: “Never knew you could do this.”

Someone else wrote: “Wow, I've just sprayed my brown rattan furniture light grey and the old cushions I was going to bin as marked.

“I will now try painting them with dark grey fence paint, nothing to lose.”

A third asked: “Wait, what???? U painted ur cushions with fence paint????

"How did you know that would work lol I would never ever have thought of doing that!! And it looks bloody amazing."

While someone else added: “Need to know about this!!! My cushions have really faded and can’t seem to buy covers anywhere!!!”

Meanwhile a woman shared a simple tip to stop weeds growing in your garden and all you need is some newspaper.

And a mum who didn’t want to fork out £5k for a new driveway revamps her tarmac with a £20 paste & it looks brand new.

Plus this woman gave her boring bathroom a stunning monochrome makeover using £28 stick-on tiles from Dunelm.

Can you guess the celeb bodies as they show off their curves with trending ‘headless’ Instagram pose?

WITH public events and social outings still off limits, celebs, like us,are spending more time at home then ever before

But with that comes the need to get creative with content for Insta and, fortunately, there's a new celebrity-approved pose taking off online – and everyone's jumping on board.

But unlike the glammed up snaps that we're used to – with perfectly styled hair and flawlessly contoured cheekbones -the new trend has bikini-clad beauties playing a little game of 'guess who' as their recognisable faces have been left out of the shot

You see, rather than capturing the perfect pout or sultry eyes, the trend has stars showcasing their summer-ready bods instead – and with the warm weather making lockdown bearable, its not hard to see why.

Some of the stars have snapped the perfect shot while sunbathing by the pool, while others have gone for a classic mirror shot in a bid to show off their taught abs and enviable curves -but all without showing their faces.

Without their famous faces, can you tell who's who? Only true fans will be able to pick their favourite celebs based off their barely-there snaps alone – answers are below, but no peaking until you've had a go.

Supermodel behaviour

Despite this beauty recently showcasing her new blonde do, it seems she wasn't keen to show it off in this pic.

It could have something to do with being a part one of the world's most famous families – even the most famous faces need to hide out occasionally.

This supermodel physique has walked some of the biggest runway shows in recent years, so there's very little wonder why she'd keen to flaunt it.

In the mix

She first took to the stage in 2011 and has graced us with her voice ever since.

It's no "secret" she is a fan of "love songs," but it seems she's also a fan of soaking up the sun during lockdown – who isn't?

The popular beauty once dated a very popular boy band singer, who will soon be a father. Take a guess.

Blurred lines

Possibly most known for her busty frame and sultry and seductive stare, this beauty is definitely no stranger to flaunting her enviable figure in a bikini.

The 28-year-old regularly teases her swimwear collection online which each snap racking up thousands of like.

Boasting over 26 million followers on Instagram, getting the right angle is key.

Fifty shades of Gray

She may have recently become engaged to her beau, but this beauty took some time out from the celebrations to unwind in the sun while flaunting her abs.

It seems that she's been treating her 5.5 million Instagram followers to a slew of barely-there snaps of late, before announcing her engagement just last week.

For sharp-eyed fans though, this pastel pink bikini should look familiar as it's not the only time she's featured the number online.

Reality bites

It seems lycra-bearing snaps is the norm for this star, but with a two-stone weight loss why wouldn't you show it off.

One things for certain, her new fitness regime that's kept her busy in lockdown "shore" has paid off .

This beauty once spoke about her reliance on quick fix weight loss solutions including liposuction, but now she shares workout videos and tips with her fans and followers on social media.

Island vibes

This bronzed beauty may have left the island behind her, but she's still keen to pose up a storm in in an array of stylish bikinis.

Her gym-honed physique as caught the attention of many, including one bloke in particular which saw the pair shoot to fame in 2017 after winning a very popular reality TV show.

Any guesses who?

Yes she cane

Despite making herself known on TV a few years ago, it seems her real claim to fame has been her drastic weight loss since.

The brunette-beauty has swapped her usual lingerie looks for swimwear for this snap which is far more practical to sunbathe in.

This star has a range of Instagram accounts where she shares snaps across a range of topics- including fitness, homeware, travel and food – leaving her main grid free for bikini-clad snaps.

Can you keep up?

Everyone from your mum to your neighbour's grandmother would no doubt recognise this mega star if they caught a glimpse of her face, but the star has made millions on her body alone.

Even though she doesn'thave to do much to get paid, the recognisable star has a range of brands under her belt – including make-up and shape wear.

Since appearing on our TV screens many moons ago, this US based bombshell has been a part of everything we know – and so too has her husband and kids.

Good work

This Essex-based bombshell sure has made her mark, and regularly blesses her fans with snaps showing off her envious curves.

She also her her own tanning line – LG beauty -to ensure her bod is always a in a perfect bronzed state.

Despite recently worrying fans online saying that she's fallen ill, the star is on bed rest and will hopefully make a speedy recovery.

So hot right now

She may have started out as just a singer, but the British bombshell as since gone on to act as well.

She's collaborated with some ofmusic's biggest names such as Iggy Azalea, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran and the late Avicci – and was even host on X Factor.

Meet the Waitrose worker appearing on the cover of Vogue

British Vogue is breaking with their usual approach to who goes on their magazine covers – a space normally reserved for A-list celebrities and supermodels.

In the age of a pandemic, the iconic magazine has devoted its cover for the July 2020 issue to honour key workers who have been working tirelessly during the lockdown.

Gracing the front cover is Anisa Omar, 21, who works as a supermarket assistant at Waitrose in King’s Cross.

She graces the magazine along with two other frontline workers who appear on a special gatefold cover.

The three different versions of the magazine will feature Anisa, London Overground train driver Narguis Horsford, and midwife Rachel Millar – who will each take a turn on the front.

Visit our live blog for the latest updates: Coronavirus news live

The decision to use non-celebrities for the cover was taken by editor-in-chief Edward Enninful OBE.

‘This moment in history has seen society shift its attention on to some of the people who are not usually afforded the spotlight,’ he explained online.

‘I am proud that British Vogue’s July issue is able to provide a special moment of thanks to the NHS and everyone on the frontline saving lives every day.

‘Our trio of cover stars represent the millions of people in the UK who, at the height of the pandemic, in the face of dangers large and small, put on their uniforms and work clothes and went to help people.’

We caught up with Anisa to see what it’s like being on the cover of one of the most prominent magazines in the world.

She tells Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s been quite a strange experience going from someone who is quite overlooked to now being identified as a key worker.

‘At the end of the day, I get up, come to work, do my job, and try and help people. It’s been lovely to see the kindness the customers have been showing all of us, it definitely feels as if we are all in this together.’

Also included in the tribute is the person photographing them – fashion photographer Jamie Hawkesworth, who has previously shot models including Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid.

Jamie spent two weeks photographing frontline workers for the historic edition, which includes portraits of NHS staff, delivery drivers, teachers and MPs across 20 pages in the issue.

Being photographed by Jamie was a huge deal for Anisa, who has two siblings that also work in other Waitrose branches.

She adds: ‘I don’t think it will really all sink in for a while, and maybe not until I see the magazine displayed as I’m going about my business and working.

‘Jamie was so lovely to me and made me feel completely at ease, even if I was a little nervous and had to do my own makeup!’

For Anisa, working during the pandemic hasn’t been too stressful and her colleagues have made it easier.

She says: ‘My shifts have been the same, even if my responsibilities can be a bit different day-to-day.

‘We have screens and gloves and masks you can wear so I feel safe. I was a bit worried about it all at first but actually my colleagues were the thing that kept me going.’

Anisa says that it’s nice to feel appreciated as she and her key worker siblings work to keep the country running.

She hopes it’ll last in the future.

‘I hope the country will have a new appreciation for supermarket workers but I think that goes for everyone in all different jobs. The kindness we’ve seen over the past few months have been lovely and I hope it continues.’

The new issue of Vogue will be available from Friday 5 June.

Royals with surprising tattoos: from Kate Middleton to Duchess Camilla

Think of the royal family and tattoos aren’t necessarily what springs to mind. The distinguished clan have a strict protocol when it comes to appearance, from makeup and jewellery to nail polish colour and even the shade of their tights. So it comes as a huge surprise when royals show off an inking, be it permanent or temporary. Lady Amelia Windsor has several tattoos on her ribcage, left hand, and wrists, and Princess Sofia famously showed off the sun tattoo between her shoulder blades on her wedding day. Even duchesses Kate, Meghan and Camilla have experimented with body art in the past.

Tattoos actually have a long history within the royal family. One of the first royals that we know of to have a little body art is King Edward VII. Back in 1862, he had a Jerusalem Cross tattooed on his arm during a visit to the Holy Land and twenty years later, in 1882, King George V was tattooed during his trip to Japan.

Today, despite usually covering them up well, the royals continue to be partial to a little motif. Here’s who’s been tempted by tattoos…

Lady Amelia Windsor

Something of an it-girl, Lady Amelia Windsor is the granddaughter of the Queen’s cousin, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and isn’t shy of expressing her personal style. Inked in more places than one, the stylish royal showed off her rib-cage tattoo while attending the Serpentine Summer Party. She also has tattoos on each of her wrists and a tiger on her left-hand shoulder blade.

Duchess of Cornwall

Yes, it’s Camilla with a tattoo! While in Zanzibar back in 2011 with her husband Prince Charles, the Duchess visited a henna tattooist and had her own ink creation painted on her hand. The royal couple were on a four-day trip to Tanzania to highlight environmental issues in Africa.

Prince Frederik of Denmark

Prince Frederik of Denmark keeps his tattoos well hidden but they have been seen on photos taken of the royal on the beach

The heir to the Danish throne, Prince Frederik will become King with two tatts but it’s something that’s not unusual in his family. His grandfather, King Frederik IX, who ruled Denmark from 1947 to his death in 1972 had tattoos of dragons and birds on his torso. Why? Because, just like Prince Frederik, who has a shark on his calf and a tattoo on his arm that means ‘pingu’, the chosen symbols are used to represent their time served in the Danish Navy.

Princess Sofia of Sweden

Before marrying Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland, who is fourth in line to the Swedish throne, Princess Sofia worked as a glamour model and reality television star. After getting together with her future husband she wasn’t just going to erase her tattoos because she was becoming royal. Quite right too.

On her wedding day, a sun between her shoulder blades was visible and on a holiday a few years, she revealed a large tattoo of a flying butterfly on her ribcage. She also has a minute inking on her ankle and is said to have previously had a motif on her arm.

Princess Stéphanie of Monaco

Princess Stéphanie has a love of tattoos

The youngest daughter of American actress Grace Kelly and Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, Princess Stéphanie was lovingly called ‘wild child’ by her mother when she was growing up. After her mother was killed in a car accident in 1982, while Stéphanie was riding with her, she reportedly grew more rebellious and opted for several tattoos including a floral bracelet, two jumping dolphins on her foot and a motif on her back. “I realised how lucky I was to have life,” Stéphanie later said in an interview. “I had my arms open to the future and I said to myself, ‘This could be all over tomorrow.’ Nobody has really tried to understand me or my behaviour, which just reflected my decision to enjoy life to the full.”

Pauline Ducruet

Pauline Ducruet showed off her daisy tattoo at an amfAR event

Pauline Ducruet is the daughter of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and is 14th in line to the Monegasque throne. Like mother, like daughter she’s also partial to visiting the tattoo parlour and has a floral motif on her wrist too. A daisy to be precise.

Charlotte Casiraghi

When Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi arrived to attend a Gucci event she wore a crop top which unveiled the star tattoo on her stomach.

The Duchess of Sussex

During the royal couple’s trip to Morocco, Meghan was given a henna tattoo by teenager Samira who has lived in Asni for six years – the henna flower was created on Meghan’s right hand to celebrate her pregnancy as per Moroccan tradition. Samira explained: “It is a traditional practice for pregnant women in Moroccan. It is to bring luck for the baby.”

WATCH: Meghan receives her henna tattoo – video

When the artwork was completed, Meghan said: “That’s really lovely,” and proudly showed it to husband Prince Harry, who was sitting next to her. Meghan added: “It will dry for a little bit and then we can walk through.”

Here’s a close-up photo of Meghan with her beautiful henna tattoo…

The Duchess of Cambridge

Shocked? Don’t be. We’re not about to tell you Kate has a constellation of stars up her spine, but she has been partial to semi-permanent inking. In February 2018, while seven-months pregnant with Louis, the Duchess received a small henna tattoo while marking the opening of a new artist’s residence in Sunderland. Wonder how it faded so fast? Henna is a natural dye that only lasts around one to four weeks.

Girl, 12, completely transforms her family home for £50 in seven days & she’s a dab hand with the power drill too

A MOTHER has revealed how her 12-year-old daughter transformed their home in just seven days in between homeschool lessons during the coronavirus lockdown – costing only £50.

Susie Levache, 47, from Kent, said Bea developed her DIY skills, including using a power drill and a handsaw, by redecorating the utility room, the stairs, the office as well as designing a feature wall.

The portrait photographer said Bea was ‘a natural’ and did a ‘blinding job’ and she shared before and after photos on Facebook – to which she received thousands of responses.

Susie added that she and Bea’s brother Ted, 15, also lent a hand, and the family aims to reuse as much as possible, so only needed to buy a few extra items from eBay for the projects.

Writing about the home office transformation, she said: ‘I usually tackle all the DIY projects alone but my 12 year old daughter took an interest and actually I figured I had a lot of time on my hands to rectify anything she might damage.

"Turns out after telling her to just go for it – she’s a natural and did a blinding job-with direction she did this herself. She was VERY handy with a handsaw.

"We just used some thin MDF strips, paint and a roll of wallpaper to transform my office."

Susie added: "I supervised and told her how to use the spirit level and how to measure and cut the MDF strips we had.

"She was really nervous to begin with as she was worried that she would mess up.

"The room was gloomy and hadn’t really been used properly for ages anyway so she had nothing to lose – then there was no stopping her!

"This gave her the confidence to just go for it and after the first two panels she then did the rest alone."

Susie watched as Bea successfully marked, leveled, glued, pinned and added a dado rail before filing the room ready for painting.

The office panelling took just a few hours to do and the following day to paint.

Susie said she had been steadily renovating the family’s 1970s semi-detached house for 10 months, and decided to use the time at home to give the plans a boost.

She homeschools Bea and Ted in the mornings, but after week two of lockdown, the children seemed ‘bored’, so she asked them to help with DIY projects in the afternoon.

Susie said they have been as resourceful as possible during lockdown by using things, such as paint, that they already had in the shed and loft. The only purchase they’ve made during pandemic has been kitchen handles.

After seeing how the new home office looked, Susie encouraged Bea to decorate the stairs with black panelling using the assistance of her brother Ted – totally unsupervised.

She said: "Then we used up some old tester pots I had to stencil and hand paint an accent wall in a funky animal print design.

"She had the patience of a saint for hand painting that job!

Then the family moved onto the kitchen utility room makeover which had the floor completed before lockdown but still required a lot of work.

Susie said: "The room was full of orange pine. I taught Bea how to use the drill and change the drill bits and how to use the little work bench.

"She filled the existing drawer holes, drilled new holes and put in different drawer pulls. They look fantastic!

‘The whole room was then transformed with chalk paint (Frenchic) so all of it including the handles came to about £45 – we loved the end result."

Bea spent three days redecorating the room.

Susie wrote about her achievement on Facebook in a post that was liked nearly 9,000 times.

She shared: "We had a grim 'dumping ground' utility room to part renovate – I showed her how to use a power drill at the weekend (very confident).

"My daughter customised the fronts of the drawers (looked easy but was tricky) then we used leftover paint to repaint the cupboards.

"We also made little initial blackboard effect plaques from leftover mdf, paint and glue – then aged them for the laundry baskets.

If my 12 year old and I can do this – ANYONE can do this

"As before, if my 12 year old and I can do this – ANYONE can do this."

The duo also used their DIY expertise to transform an old broken rattan table for the family’s dreamy outdoor terrace.

Bea used leftover tiles to create a stunning mosaic on the table before placing the original glass on the top to finish.

The tiles for the garden table were left over from previous tiling where the family had purchased the amount needed including spares for breakages and luckily, there was none.

Susie said: "The table now has pride of place on our terrace. During lockdown, we have taken all the blankets out, sat by the fire and drank hot chocolate in the cosy haven.

"It’s definitely a makeover we are proud of. It was probably around £20 if somebody wanted to have a go at upcycling.

"It’s comforting that all the blood, sweat and tears that went into the planning, faffing and upkeep of the terrace garden – that it is enjoyed by everyone."

Susie posted her DIY successes online and received hundreds of questions from parents wanting to do the same with their kids so she created an Instagram account dedicated to sharing her tips and decorating secrets.

She added: "We have been staggered by the reaction. Some of the posts have had thousands of likes.

"We’ve also had some great messages from carpenters and builders lending advice which has been terrific."

Susie added that the family DIY projects haven't just resulted in an incredible home transformation – it has also helped Bea’s confidence.

She said: "I was always a creative child and my daughter thought she didn’t have any skills before lockdown, I hope this will give her confidence that it’s all there. She just needed to believe she could do it!

"Initially she was quite timid about using the power tools and things, but now she’s so proud of what she’s achieved.

"Pre-lockdown I would never have thought to include Bea in my work – this period has really shown me that children are far more capable than we may think."

The family’s six-week complete ‘spring fling’ came after Susie decided to decorate the house.

She revealed in a recent social media post: "No more white box. My husband has zero interest in DIY and interiors which leaves me in charge!"

Despite transforming numerous rooms in the house, Susie said their DIY endeavours are not fully complete just yet.

She revealed: "We’re going to gold leaf some furniture and hopefully the last thing will be to make a brick wall.

"Then we will finally do Bea’s bedroom which she is designing at the moment by researching colour swatches and looking on Pinterest.

"This whole thing has made her a lot more involved and she is excited to plan her post lockdown bedroom renovation."

For more amazing home transformations, this DIY fan transformed her tired patio tiles using £7 stencil and it looks amazing.

And this woman made a stunning window seat for just £30 using leftover wood and cot mattress.

Plus Stacey Solomon created an amazing DIY beauty station using old crate to ‘keep her mind busy’ in lockdown.

I Never Had Acne as a Teen, but My Breakouts Got Out of Control When I Turned 22

I Never Had Acne as a Teen, but My Breakouts Got Out of Control When I Turned 22

I didn’t really have acne as a teenager. I experienced the occasional breakouts like most people in their teens do, but nothing serious. I didn’t need to use any special topical products to keep my skin clear — a simple drugstore cleanser for oily skin did the trick just fine. My skin-care luck carried through for the duration of my college years. Then, I turned 22 years old.

It’s almost impressive how fast my skin situation was flipped on its head. A month after my 22nd birthday, my skin started breaking out uncontrollably, more than it ever had before. I ignored it and wrote it off as a fluke reaction to some new product I tested, or a result of stress (which I was under a lot of, at the time), or just a really bad case of hormonal acne — but then it didn’t go away.

Mum makes sandpit in her back garden for £2.50 after her kids missed going to the beach

A CLEVER mum decided to make a sandpit in her back garden to avoid taking her kids to the busy nearby beach – and it only cost her a couple of pounds to do.

The woman said that her eldest daughter is "high-risk" and that she was "too paranoid" to visit the populated beach so the woman decidedto "bring the beach to them" instead.

The mum insisted that "sandpits are expensive" and wanted to do it on the cheap, and managed to do just that with the help from her dad – the kids' grandfather.

She explained that her dad built a wooden frame in the shape of a square and placed it on top of a large tarpaulin.

And added that the tarp should be "bigger than the box [so] you can then at night wrap it up."

As for the sand, she revealed that she managed to snap up a 15kg bag of play sand from B&M for just £2.50, explaining this was the only expense involved in creating the epic lockdown backyard beach.

She shared progress shots in the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, along with a snap of the finished result which left other parents mighty impressed by the clever idea.

One person even shared a very clever tip suggesting that by adding cinnamon in the sand it will keep the creepy crawlies out.

This comes after another mum who was gutted she’s missing her holiday made a beach in the garden with fake palm trees & sand using eBay bargains.

We also shared how this dad revealed a genius £1.50 gadget that helps fill your paddling pool without needing buckets of warm water.

And mum who couldn’t afford new carpet WALLPAPERED her floor for just £23 & people are praising the tip.

Plus this woman transforms her messy cupboard into a super organised walk-in-wardrobe… and she has quite the shoe collection.
