Mum creates incredible home cinema for her kids including tickets and charges them £4 for sweets

A SAVVY mum created a home cinema in the living room for her kids after all the movie theatres shut.

With the world currently in a lockdown, one parent decided to jazz up a regular movie night by creating tickets, a tuck-shop ‘menu’ and writing out the film showtimes.

Her kids could choose from two films, with a ticket costing $5 (£4.07), while cookies, candy and popcorn was an extra charge.

As well as giving her kids a treat, the mum revealed they had to earn ‘movie money’ by cleaning their rooms and doing chores.

She said: “Can’t go to the movies, so we brought the movies to us!

“In order to earn movie money, they had to clean their room with no help. (Mostly no help anyway). They loved it!”

Her post was shared on Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, where it’s been liked more than 3,000 times.

Parents praised her creativity in the lockdown, adding they might use her idea to get their kids to tidy their rooms.

One mum said: “Food prices way too cheap for a cinema. (Great idea kids would love this).”

Another wrote: “This is a brilliant idea.”

A third said: “What a fab idea, I'm going to do this for my two.”

While this mum added: “Good idea for kids to keep their rooms tidy.”

And another commented: “Love this idea! I might pinch it.”

And we revealed kids should be doing chores by 18-months-old – and here'swhat they need to do and when.

Mums reckon the 30 day Lego challenge is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained during coronavirus lockdown.

Meanwhile this mum-of-seven shared the homeschooling regime she’s been doing for years and says 1-3 hours of study is more than enough.

New coronavirus-inspired dating app encourages people to 'quarantine together' and you have to wash your hands to match

THE CURRENT lockdown measures have made dating people in person impossible – but that doesn't mean you can't find love online in the meantime.

While Tinder, Hinge, Bumble may be full of activity this weekend – a new coronavirus-inspired dating app is aiming to not only help match people up, but also remind them to stay safe.

Quarantine Together, currently free to sign up to, has been launched to connect together those who are socially-distancing.

Cleverly, the app – which features the tagline "let's flatten the curve together" – only virtually links you up with possible suitors once you've washed your hands.

Daniel Ahmadizadeh and Christopher Smeder, its creators, came up with the idea last month to help singletons ward off loneliness.

Speaking to CNN, the former said: "People need to stay home and people will be lonely when they stay at home."

"We wanted to build something that is not just great for others, but for our selfish purposes so we don't get bored.

"I watch basketball when I get home but that's not on."

Every evening at 6pm, the app's users will receive a message asking them if they've washed their hands and stayed home.

If they say 'yes', then they're matched with another person via text.

Once they've chatted for 15 minutes, the couple then have an opportunity to continue their conversation via video link.

Unlike most dating apps, there are no photos for users to browse through, and names are only revealed when people are first connected.

When the app was first unveiled in mid-March, approximately 200 people signed up – and the figure has been increasing by 50 per cent each day.

However, the site warns that even if people do get on, they should not attempt to meet up until after the quarantine period.

In other relationship news, we told you the sex positions that will burn most calories while you're in lockdown.

We also revealed the dating app horror stories – from d*** pics to "I'll cook you" threats.

And self-isolation has spurred on scores of lonely exes to get back in touch.

James Charles’ ‘Instant Influencer’ Trailer Dropped & It Looks So Dramatic

My must-watch list for TV and movies grows by the second, and today, it grew by one more. On Friday, April 3, James Charles dropped the trailer for Instant Influencer, a new YouTube original show he’s hosting, with episodes airing for free on his YouTube channel. At first glance, the show, appearing similar to Netflix original competition shows like Nailed It! or Glow Up, is filled with exactly what you’d expect: a whole lot of makeup, guest stars and judges, and some impending ~dramatics~. In short, I hate the fact that I am fully going to watch this show like my life depends on it. I’m sorry.

At the start of the trailer, Charles alludes to the moment this all began in 2019, when he called on all aspiring beauty influencers to audition for a spot on Instant Influencer. Settling on a cast of six up-and-comers — Kailin Chase, Christian Perez, Britany Renteria, Gabriel Garcia, Ashley Strong, and Benny Cera — Charles flew the contestants to Los Angeles. There, he put them through a series of challenges for a chance to win $50,000 and be crowned the next big beauty influencer. "I’ll test their artistry, camera presence, and potential to be a beauty superstar," he says in the trailer.

From the looks of it, Instant Influencer is packed with beauty star power already. Making appearances alongside Charles is beauty mogul Claudia "Norvina" Soare, daughter of Anastasia Beverly Hills’ founder Anastasia Soare; drag queen Trixie Mattel; beauty YouTubers Nikita Dragun and Bretman Rock; and none other than Paris Hilton — because who else is gonna tell everyone there what’s hot?

In addition to so many big names, the series also seems to be filled with capital D Drama. Between montages of contestants racing past each other on set, grabbing makeup from towering shelves, and rushing to complete makeup looks on camera, there are also plenty of tears shed (and false lashes struggling to stay on in the process). Hell, there’s even a whole ass clip of Charles saying, "I honestly feel like you all owe me an apology." I didn’t even do anything, but for whatever happened, I’m sorry, James!!!!!!

You can watch alllllll the laughs, challenges, and drama go down starting on Friday, April 24, on James Charles’ YouTube Channel, where new episodes will drop there every week. See you guys there.

Before the deep clean, her shower screen appeared completely covered in limescale.

Tracee Ellis Ross Wears Her Trademark Red Lipstick While Self-Isolating

Tracee Ellis Ross loves a bold lip look! To prove it, the 47-year-old actress frequently takes to social media to share selfies of her statement-making pout — no matter whether she’s self-quarantining or taking a walk in a snowstorm.

Stars Without Makeup: See Stars Going Makeup-Free and Loving It!

Most recently, Ross got some fresh air while self-isolating during the COVID-19 outbreak. The star went makeup-free except for a bold red lip to create a video checking in on her 7.8 million Instagram followers.

In the accompanying caption, the television host made it clear that she’s starting to lose track of the days and weeks, just like Us. She wrote, “Day 20 (I think? Gurl, I don’t know) Red lips, squirrels, lizards, birds & bugs. Sending out so much love.”

Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, Colton Underwood and More Stars Who Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Ross introduced the two and a half minute video by saying, “Hi everybody — I’m just checking in. I put on lipstick today and decided to put on earrings.”

She continued, “ Because it’s been so long since I’ve put on an earring, I thought I’d put two different earrings on.” The TV star wore a navy blue hoop in one ear and a red one in the other. How patriotic!

She continued to describe the rest of her outfit by telling fans, “I’m wearing my very, very comfortable Fabletics Kelly Rowland jumpsuit.”

As much as we loved Ross’ whole stay-at-home look, her red matte lipstick was Us Weekly’s favorite part, the reason being that the star is living proof you can wear lipstick without complexion products or eye makeup.

The coronavirus crisis isn’t the first time Ross has worn lipstick without any other makeup — or a super minimal amount. Another one of our favorite lip looks is from Super Tuesday. The Pattern Beauty founder swiped on bright pink lipstick with a little volumizing mascara to earn that “I Voted” sticker.

Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and More Stars Make Generous Donations Amid the Coronavirus Outbreak

And of course we support those full glam moments, too! In January, the actress looked as fashionable as ever in a mustard-toned ensemble paired with red lipstick, bold lashes and blush.

So what are you waiting for? Keep scrolling to see some of the Black-ish star’s best and boldest lipstick selfies!
