Is Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall sending pointed message to William and Harry?

Camilla Parker Bowles, 72, the wife of Prince Charles, 70, wore a never before seen brooch today. The Duchess of Cornwall often borrows the Queen’s brooches, why did she choose a new one?

  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry warning: Sussexes can’t stage life now

Camilla wore a diamond brooch in the shape of a knot.

The piece appeared to be made of platinum or white gold, studded with the precious gems.

Future queen Camilla wore a navy blue skirt suit for the event.

On her head she wore a wide brimmed hat, covered in feathers.

The knot has a number of meanings, but in Europe in particular is used a symbol of love.

In marriage the knot is used, which is why the process is often known as tying the know.

“Even when not involved in marriages, the knot was still linked to love.”

Could Camilla be attempting to make a statement about the strength of love amid the current shake up within the Royal Family.

There are rumours of a feud between harry and William, which were fuelled by today’s meeting.

Body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk: “For everyone longing to see a warm reunion between brothers William and Harry at this last public outing there was some disappointment.

  • Royal break: Camilla’s role in helping Charles through feud revealed

“Several of their behaviours echoed avoidance techniques that have been visible at other events over the past few years and their greeting when it did come involved a brave but rather tense smile and ‘hello’ but no later rituals of chatting or bonding before Harry takes his leave.”

The Queen also wore a stunning brooch today covered, again, in diamonds.

Her Majesty wore the Jardine star brooch.

The enormous sparkling piece has eight large stones surrounding a centre stone.

The brooch was given to the Queen by Lady Jardine in 1981.

Today Meghan Markle wore green, co-ordinating with her husband. Meghan wore a bespoke look by royal favourite Emilia Wickstead.

The original design dost £965, however, bespoke dresses can run into the tens of thousands.

The cape detail is from a jumpsuit from the brand’s collection, which was previously worn by model Gigi Hadid.

Yep, You Can Use Trader Joe's Fruit and Vegetable Wash to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

If skin could talk, it’d probably say something along the lines of “use all the sunscreen” or “wash your makeup brushes more often, preferably once a week.” While not exactly known for its skin and beauty products, Trader Joe’s Fruit and Vegetable Wash 2 Pack ($21) works as a natural solution for cleaning your dirty makeup brushes, according to traderjoeslist on Instagram.

In the same way the wash cleans away wax and chemicals from your produce, the acid and oils in it easily remove any lingering foundation, blush, or products that have been stuck to your brushes since before the premiere of Love Is Blind. All you have to do is pour some of the solution in a bowl and mix your makeup brushes around in it before rinsing them off with a little bit of water. Ingredients include purified water, natural cleansing agents derived from coconut oil and corn oil, grapefruit seed extract, and lemon-orange extract.

As important as it is to wash your face daily, it’s equally important to stay conscious of how clean the products you’re putting on your face actually are, which is why this hack is so practical. Head to your nearest Trader Joe’s to snag a two-pack of the Fruit and Vegetable Wash to try out for yourself ahead. Your makeup brushes (and your skin) will thank you for it.

The gown by Lee Petra Grebenau was embellished with a series of shimmering diamonds and crystals along the whole of the dress that sparkled beneath the studio lights.

Mum was labelled 'Worzel Gummidge' by her mates after fake tan blunder left left her with an 'orange head'

ANYONE who has ever fake-tanned knows all too well the pressure involved in getting it right – especially when aiming for a subtle bronzed glow.

But when Janice Evans, 38,  slapped on a couple of layers of tan in a bid to cheer herself up, she wasn't expecting to end up as dark as she did – and her friends thought it was absolutely hilarious.

Deciding to go one shade darker than she normally does, the mum-of-four applied the

£2.99 bottle of St Moriz Darker Than Dark lotion, but within minutes her skin had turned a very dark shade of brown.

Quickly noticing it was already darker than intended, the 38-year-old mum acted quickly in removing the colour – but even after three long showers and lathering her body in baby oil, she was still left looking a very unnatural shade of orange three days later.

Finding the humour in her tanning disaster, the mum posted photos to Facebook, where she was labelled "Worzel Gummidge" by her mates.

Speaking of the blunder, she said: "All my mates have been taking the mick. They said I looked like Worzel Gummidge, especially with the hair."

Worzel — a fictional living scarecrow — had an orange head made from a mangelwurzel vegetable, and the hilarious snaps she shared revealed an uncanny resemblance.

Explaining how it all went wrong, she said: "I went for a bottle one shade darker than I usually buy, thinking it would give me a really nice tan but after just a couple of minutes it was really dark. I thought that was it, but it just got darker."

Aside from her friends making fun of her, even her four children are embarrassed and have banned her from the school gates until the colour wears off.

In more fashion disasters, this PrettyLittleThing shopper was left in hysterics over her  ‘bodycon’ dress that looked ‘like a bin bag’

Plus, this bloke says £20 Amazon sex toy made his wife ‘scream like a banshee’ – and he’s not the only one raving about it.

Meanwhile, mums are raving about £15 shampoo from Amazon that gets rid of head lice.

One of our biggest stores says this is the top fashion trend of autumn

If you're the kind of person who cares about being in fashion this winter, remember these words: red, pink, leather, chains. It's much easier than trying to interpret "rebel love" all on your own.

And yet, that is the term department store David Jones is giving its top trend of the season, according to the head of womenswear buying, Teneille Oakley.

"It's a soft, feminine trend – hardened up," she says.

Model Bille Jean Hamlet is one of the new faces of David Jones at VMFF.Credit:Nic Walker

Think '90s rock, fused with "soft" punk – a little blurred lipstick here, a mohair sweater there, and chains, lots of chains; not the full-blown expression of tartan that swept the recent runways in London, Milan and Paris (but be ready, that's coming later this year, and into 2021).

The colour palette is simple, says Oakley. Reds and pinks (the hotter the better), worn back with black. But this is no simple case of colour blocking: reptile prints and leather provide texture, and a healthy dose of attitude.

Silhouette wise, the '90s satin slip is a dominant piece, and no one does it better in Australia than Bec & Bridge and Shona Joy, according to Oakley. But shoppers who are sustainably minded may also seek out vintage slips, which can always be dyed to the colours of the season.

Leather is key to the trend but Oakley says there are plenty of brands playing in the vegan space, including Nanushka, the Bupdapest-based "it" brand that specialises in buttery skirts and coats that look and feel like the real thing. Other vegan leather specialists include the Danish cool-girl brand Ganni and local bag player Sans Beast, which literally means "without animals".

Oakley says the new must-have piece in leather or vegan leather is a shirt, in black, brown or taupe. "It's the newest, most interesting [piece]. Buy it oversize, wear it open as well. Work it back with a bright blazer for the office," she says.

The rebel love trend is one of six key directions this winter for David Jones, which will unveil its collections on the runway at the Virgin Melbourne Australia Fashion Festival this Tuesday night. While in the past, the store has held lavish parties or runways for media and VIPs to see the collections, this year the company decided to forgo a party and redirected $100,000 towards fundraising for the bushfire recovery effort.

The David Jones show at VAMFF is on Tuesday, 7pm and repeated at 8.30pm. Visit vamff.com.au.
