Most New Yorkers worried about financial fallout from coronavirus: poll

ALBANY — The coronavirus pandemic has inflicted heavy financial stress and feelings of job insecurity on New Yorkers, a new poll shows.

Siena College found that 77 percent of eligible voters are at least somewhat concerned about the virus and serious financial fallout from it, according to a survey released Monday.

Paying monthly bills was a concern for 51 percent of respondents, compared to 45 percent who weren’t worried.

Younger folks felt the pinch more, with 61 percent of people ages 18 to 34, and 65 percent of the 35-39 set, saying they’re seriously concerned about meeting monthly financial obligations.

Along ethnic lines, that anxiety is highest among Latinos surveyed, 60 percent of whom registered financial concerns. Forty-nine percent of African Americans and 41 percent of whites said they were worried.

That’s as 58 percent of respondents said they are worried their retirement savings or investments will lose their value, compared to 38 percent who were not concerned.

And 37 percent of New Yorkers are also anxious they will be laid off, while 58 percent said they are not worried.

Of those anxious about losing their jobs, 66 percent are very concerned.

Last month’s jobs report showed the US economy lost 701,000 jobs in March, but that doesn’t account for almost 10 million additional jobless claims workers filed within the last two weeks of that month.

Plus, millions of unemployed New Yorkers trying to apply for unemployment with the state Labor Department have been met with difficulties like dropped calls and the website’s constant crashing.

Now, 41 percent of New Yorkers even said they are concerned about being able to afford food.

Meanwhile, 95 percent of New Yorkers are either under mandatory or self quarantine, or cutting back on social interactions.

“The coronavirus crisis has turned life upside down for nearly all New Yorkers,” Siena Poll Director Don Levy said.

“With so many quarantining or keeping their distance from others, 53 percent of New Yorkers, over 60 percent of younger residents, say that ‘not being with other people is making them lonely’ and 60 percent of all New Yorkers, 66 percent of NYC residents, say that ‘if it wasn’t for the ability to see and talk to others via the internet, they think they’d be going crazy,” he added.

The pandemic is also negatively impacting individual mental health, as 68 percent said their anxiety level has risen.

However, 75 percent admitted they appreciate extra time to spend with loved ones and 76 percent said they are finding enjoyment in the small things more than ever before.

The survey polled 400 people from March 30 to April 2, with a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.

The untold truth about Kevin Hart’s wife

Eniko Hart, neé Parrish was thrust into the spotlight overnight when she was introduced to the public as Kevin Hart’s girlfriend in 2011, according to O: The Oprah Magazine. The public was intrigued by the 22 year-old Chinese-Jamaican beauty instantly.

When Eniko and Kevin publicized their relationship, many wondered how he got so lucky. He and his wife of eight years, Torrei Hart, had recently gotten a divorce. It seemed like he was moving on quickly. Not only was the timing surprising, but Eniko was far from a household name.

The first thing everyone noticed was their height difference. The internet went nuts when Eniko posted a family photo in which she and their infant son are the only ones barefoot. The consensus was it was to lessen the couple’s height difference, which Kevin doesn’t see as a problem. He told Oprah, “I’m confident in who I am. I’m confident in the person that I am. I think I’m sexy.” Clearly Parrish does too. We’re sure Kevin’s pockets don’t hurt either. Men’s Health reported in February 2020 that he was the richest comedian in the world with a net worth of $200 million.

That laugh-generated fortune aside, these two have been through a lot, but they somehow emerged from the flames stronger than ever. This is the untold truth of Kevin Hart’s wife.

Eniko Parrish's model roots

According to IMDb, Eniko Parrish was born in Baltimore, Md. and moved to Los Angeles, Calif. to become a model. That makes sense given her tall frame and clearly stunning good looks. In 2013, she landed a spot on BET’s annual televised fashion show Rip the Runway, which is kind of like a hyper-condensed version of America’s Top Model. She didn’t win, and her modeling career never seemed to take off afterwards. As of this writing, she doesn’t appear to have been in any major ad campaigns or runway shows, however, she does frequently post sponsored ads to Instagram for her brand ambassadorship with Fabletics.

Nonetheless, Parrish ended up the long-term winner when she found true love with Kevin Hart. The comedian explained the depth of their relationship to The Breakfast Club, saying, “I call her my real,” which he described as “someone that you can’t live without.”  In addressing claims about when exactly Parrish entered the picture, Hart said, “I wasn’t all the way ‘Kev’ [as he became known after achieving super stardom]. I was stepping into ‘Oh, it’s about to get crazy.’ … So, she’s been around. Through public eye, it looks like, ‘Aw man, that’s your money chick.” In other words, Hart wants everyone to know Parrish isn’t a gold-digger — and even if she wanted to be, the prenup he also confirmed they have effectively nixes that anyway.

The messy start to Eniko and Kevin Hart's relationship

In the couple’s Netflix docu-series Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up (via O: The Oprah Magazine), Kevin Hart officially states he met Eniko Parrish in 2009. That date is important, because according to US Weekly, at the time Kevin was still married to his first wife, Torrei Hart. Kevin and Torrei were married from 2003 to 2011.

Kevin has been open about his infidelity while he was married to Torrei, even using it as a punchline in his stand-up specials, which Torrie told Inside Edition in 2017 that she had to “endure” for years. The tabloid interview was a rare one for Torrei, who US Weekly noted “tried to maintain an amicable relationship with Kevin for the sake of their children, Heaven, (then) 12, and Hendrix, (then) 9.” In fact, Torrei had had to defend instances where she posted photos of Eniko with Heaven and Hendrix to her own Instagram, telling one detractor (via BET), “[The kids’] happiness is what matters. No one wins when the family feuds.”

That rosy outlook seemed to work for a long time … until things went a little sour.

The Hart family feud hit social media

Torrei Hart’s attempts at keeping the peace temporarily broke down in 2017 when Eniko Hart posted a throwback photo on Instagram for her and Kevin Hart’s one-year marriage anniversary. In the post, Parrish stated that she and Kevin had been together for eight years. Naturally, fans were quick to point out that Kevin and Torrei (pictured above left) had only been divorced for six years.

Eniko responded to the criticism in several since-deleted comments. “Their marriage was broken way before I came in the picture,” she replied (per People), adding, “They were separated living in separate homes. I was never a secret.” Shots fired! Eniko also accused Torrei of spreading rumors “years ago [because] she wanted to play the victim and not own up to her wrong doing as well.”

That was it for Torrei, who said she was only responding because she was Eniko had “left it open for her character to be questioned.” She kept things relatively vague, however, stating, “We have made successful strides to become a loving co parenting family. … You, Kevin, and I know the truth.” The fued seemed to settle when Eniko deleted the comments, but a few months later Kevin issued the final word on The Breakfast Club, blaming the whole “home-wrecker” label with which Eniko was saddled on Torrei. “I was legally separated for a year before I even filed for a divorce,” he told the morning show, adding, “[I] had tons of women during that time. Me and my wife stuck.”

First comes love then comes marriage

Eniko and Kevin Hart got engaged in August 2014 at Eniko’s 30th birthday party, according to People. It proved to be the perfect way for Eniko to jump into a new decade.

Luckily for fans, it was all caught on camera, which Eniko uploaded to Instagram. In a since-deleted, yet heart-melting video taken by someone in attendance, Kevin gets down on one knee and says (via People), “On this perfect day I chose to make the most perfect decision.” In her own video from the occasion, Eniko then folds over in disbelief and kisses Kevin in acceptance.

Eniko’s engagement ring was an insanely huge french-set with a halo fit for a queen. The couple’s lavish wedding took place two years later in front of 200 family and friends in Santa Barbara, Calif. According to People, Eniko walked down the aisle in a custom Vera Wang mermaid-style dress with a corset-like bodice. Kevin’s kids played an important role in the ceremony too. Hendrix, then 8, served as the best man, and Heaven matched Eniko in a white cocktail dress.

Eniko Hart's Instagram followers didn't miss a second of her pregnancy

On May 14, 2017, Kevin Hart announced that Eniko Hart was pregnant with his child. Since that day was actually Mother’s Day, the Jumanji: The Next Level star posted a couple selfie with the caption: “We are laughing at the fact that this time next year we will be celebrating her [Eniko’s] 1st actual Mother’s Day.” Naturally, Eniko seemed just as excited to become a first-time mom in the pic.

Eniko made sure to stay fit during her pregnancy, posting frequent pictures of her baby bump along the way. She even documented it with a time-lapse on Instagram that showed her doing squats at different stages of her pregnancy. According to Self, she created her pregnancy workout with the help of her trainer Rebecca Broxterman. Of the idea for the time-lapse video, Eniko also credited Broxterman, writing, “It was a simple & cute idea when you suggested it to me and it came out perfect..I couldn’t be happier to see US grow together…pregnancy is beautiful.”

Kevin Hart nearly destroyed his marriage

When Eniko Hart was around eight months pregnant, she and Kevin Hart hit a big bump (no pun intended) in their relationship. This one couldn’t be hidden from the public. Kevin took to Instagram to call his mistake a “bad error in judgement.” But that was an understatement. His “bad error” had the power to end his entire marriage. In the video to his fans, Kevin eluded to an extortion plot. In the video Kevin says in part, “…I’d rather fess up to my mistakes.”

Oddly enough for a supposed confession video, Kevin didn’t say exactly what his mistake was, but the public found out soon after. According to multiple sources, including O: The Oprah Magazine, Kevin was unknowingly caught on camera engaging in sexual acts with model Montia Sabbag. According TMZ, Kevin’s (now former) friend Jonathan Todd Jackson allegedly taped the encounter, then threatened to release it to multiple media outlets if he wasn’t millions of dollars.

Sabbag also tried to get some cash from the Get Hard star, according to the Daily Mail. She sued Kevin, Jonathan, a website that had an alleged role in publishing the video, and the hotel where the video was allegedly made for $60 million, “claiming negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.” The lawsuit was dismissed in September 2019 due to “technical legal issues” (per The Philadelphia Inquirer).

Eniko Hart finally spoke out about her husbands betrayal

Eniko Hart doesn’t speak to the public in an official manner, but in the couple’s Netflix docu-series Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up, she finally used the outlet to open up about Kevin’s betrayal. She revealed that she learned of it through an anonymous Instagram DM. We really can’t think of a worse way to get news like that.

“I was pregnant at that time … I was having breakfast, I opened my phone and immediately I just lost it. I called him, I’m crying, I’m like pissed. Right then and there, I kept saying, How the f**k did you let that happen?” she said in the series (via Essence).

Hart’s infidelity wasn’t just emotionally devastating. It was downright dangerous. According to a 2017 study in the Nature Research Journal found that “the risk of miscarriage was significantly higher in women with a history of exposure to psychological stress.” The study also lists “emotional trauma” and “marital/partnership disharmony” as possible psychological challenges.

For his part, Kevin said the conversation he had with Eniko wasn’t easy. “The worst part was just knowing how you made somebody feel,” he said in the series (via Essence). “There’s a major effect it could have on the people that you are closest to, who you love the most. When I got to see that first-hand with Eniko when I got to see the effect my reckless behavior had … It was crushing, that tore me up. That really tore me up.”

Forgiveness is a virtue Eniko Hart definitely possesses

So after all that drama, why did Eniko Hart stay? She says the answer is simple: her son Kenzo. Eniko and Kevin Hart’s son Kenzo Kash was born on November 21, 2017.

In the couple’s Netflix docu-series Kevin Hart: Dont F**k This Up, Eniko explained her reasoning for staying through tears. “I wasn’t ready at the time to just give up on my family,” she said (via People), adding, “I wanted Kenzo to be able to know his dad and grow up, so it was a lot.” But Eniko really made headlines when she rolled out this bit of logic. “I believe in second chances. I’m all about forgiveness, and you only get two times. Three strikes you’re out, you’re out of here. So, as long as he [Kevin] behaves, we’re good.” Um, is that math correct? Based on Eniko’s scorecard, Kevin has one more chance to cheat.

Regardless, it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll get to strike three. Kevin also reflected on the cheating scandal with People, telling the outlet, “It’s the most difficult test ever. And, you know, sometimes those tests come from stupidity. But it’s how you handle it, and how you decide to move forward from it.” For the family’s sake, we hope he learned his lesson.

The Hart house is expanding

It looks like the Hart family has moved on from the controversy and is on to the next the blessing. In March 2020, Eniko announced on Instagram that she and Kevin are expecting their second baby. She captioned the photo of her baby bump, “In the midst of all of this we’re counting our blessings and couldn’t be more grateful! Soon to be a family of 6!”

Not only is Eniko a great Mom to Kenzo, but she’s also a loving stepmom to Kevin’s kids Heaven and Hendrix. It is hard to find her in a family photo without them. She makes sure to be there for their milestones, like Heaven’s first homecoming dance. And the affection seems to go both ways. In 2018, Eniko posted a surprise note that Heaven left her that read, in part, “Just wanted to say that your awesome and that you’re literally the G.O.A.T. You’re the best and your capable of anything don’t forget that okie dokie. U gave birth to one of the best people on the earth. Lil Baby Zo AKA mini heaven. I love you I love Zo I love Hendrix I love Dad And I love My whole family.” We’re not crying. You are.

The upcoming addition to the fam is certainly a welcome one for Kevin, too, as the comedian told told USA Today in April 2019,”I think adding one more will really complete the Hart family circle and we’ll be done there. That’s it.” So much for lucky number seven.

The truth about Kate Gosselin’s plastic surgeries

Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin, 45, has faced a series of controversies throughout her years on TV. On that list? Her supposed plastic surgeries.

The TLC reality star — who gained fame from the decade-long show about her life raising eight kids with then-husband Jon Gosselin — has always denied that she’s had any work done other than a tummy tuck. And it took years for her to admit even that!

In 2010, Gosselin appeared on The View to clear up various rumors about her life. At the time, Whoopi Goldberg asked what work she’d had done, to which Gosselin answered, “I’ve had a tummy tuck — we all know that.” Still, she denied having gone under the knife for anything else, according to Us Weekly

Gosselin got the stomach procedure done in 2006 after giving birth to her twins and her sextuplets, reported The Hollywood Gossip. She even had a Twitter exchange with a fan afterwards. “Get through the first two weeks of pain and yuck,” Gosselin tweeted, according to the outlet. “It’ll be the BEST decision you’ve ever made! How’s that?;).”

Kate Gosselin insists she's just 'got a good bra'

During her 2010 appearance on The View, Kate Gosselin insisted she’s never had plastic surgery on her breasts. “Why is it so fascinating? I got a good bra!” she said, according to Us Weekly. However, a source close to her claimed to the outlet that she did have a breast enhancement surgery in March 2009.

When asked if she’s ever had Botox, Gosselin told The View ladies, “Absolutely not.” But an insider told the magazine she had a botched Botox job around her brows — and experts agreed. NYC doctor Steven Pearlman told Us Weekly, “The center of her eyebrows are dropped and spread, which can happen from Botox treatment of the forehead frown lines.”

While Gosselin stands by her claims that her beauty is au naturel, she understands why people think she looks younger than ever. “I think when the world met me I was three days post having sextuplets, so the only place you can get from that point is younger… You guys saw me at my worst first, and then I just kind of reversed in front of your eyes,” she said at an E! News event in 2015. She also told Andy Cohen in 2012, “I am probably one of the rare few who de-age,” according to HuffPost

So, is Gosselin hiding details about her plastic surgery journey? The reality star seems pretty adamant in her denial.

Fans’ Theories About Beta Were FINALLY Confirmed On ‘The Walking Dead’

Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead Season 10. What’s a Beta without his Alpha? That’s the question Ryan Hurst’s Beta on The Walking Dead is faced with now that Alpha (Samantha Morton) is dead. With his future in question, Alpha’s number two goes on a trip down memory lane with The Walking Dead revealing who Beta was before the zombie apocalypse. As fans of the franchise predicted, Beta was a famous singer before the apocalypse.

Beta has no intention of assuming the Alpha role, as his killing of a Whisperer who even suggested it indicates. In fact, he’s still taking orders from Alpha in "Look at the Flowers." With a little GPS courtesy of Alpha’s reanimated head, Beta finds himself at the Grand Hotel. Apparently, the proprietor or a resident had been a big fan because inside, Beta discovers records and souvenir posters from his time as the country recording artist Half Moon.

Before the zombie apocalypse, Half Moon was quite well-known (was he contemporaries with Jackson Maine?) since a concert poster proclaims, "The legend himself for one night only." His music was played throughout the country since, in Season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead, his album could be spotted when Daniel dropped the vinyl records he had acquired in Texas. When Beta’s zombie mask was ripped in "Walk With Us," exposing part of his face, a Whisperer recognized him and mentioned his voice sounding familiar. So even before the official reveal, fans made the connection that Beta was that famous country artist from Fear.

Back at the hotel, Beta believes that Alpha has led him here to his old self. So he puts on his Half Moon Live in Concert album and heads up to the hotel’s balcony to pull an Evita. He seems to be inviting the walkers toward him as the Half Moon version of him can be heard encouraging the audience to sing along with him to the lyrics, "I try to stand tall and knock down that big old wall." In this moment, Beta expresses more emotion than viewers have ever seen from him. He rips off part of his Whisperers mask and throws it onto his album cover while crying.

His mourning period for Alpha ends the next day. Inspired by a piece of paper with the words, "These two eyes see one truth," he tells Alpha’s head, "Thank you. I see now." He stabs her brain and then mends his walker mask by using part of Alpha’s own face. As he walks into the crowd of zombies who had been drawn to his music, Half Moon is Half Alpha. And though Beta has no intention of replacing his beloved Alpha, he’s going to attack Alexandria with the vengeance of two Whisperer leaders.

"Look at the Flowers" treaded some water in its efforts to set up big moments like Beta’s revenge, Negan going back to Alexandria, and Eugene meeting a sinister new person. Due to the pacing and the fact that The Walking Dead Season 10 finale has been postponed, not all of these storylines will be wrapped up in next week’s penultimate episode. But Beta might be singing his swan song as he goes after Alexandria again to avenge his Alpha.

The truth about the royal family’s crowns and tiaras

The royal family occasionally does things that convince us they’re just like the rest of us. For example, Queen Elizabeth will sometimes drive herself around with a corgi chilling in the back seat. Or Kate Middleton will be a proud Instagram parent, sharing an adorable video of her kids clapping in gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff working around the clock right now.

But while the royals do casual things, we’re not exactly fooled. All the corgis and personally driven cars in the world can’t hide the fact that there are some amazing perks that come with being part of the royal family, like owning all of the dolphins in the U.K. (Yup, Queen Elizabeth really does own sea creatures.)

Another such hint of their glamorous lives comes from frequent sightings of the many crowns and tiaras worn by the Queen and her extended family. And like anything within the British monarchy, there are some intense rules regarding who can wear what and when.

Only some members of the royal family wear tiaras

There’s a whole etiquette around tiaras, as Insider reported. Only married women can wear them or women who were born princesses. “Traditionally, tiaras are a sign of marriage. So typically they could be worn by a bride on her wedding day, or after she is married, she can wear one to any white tie event,” Grant Harrold, director at the Royal School of Etiquette, told Insider. “Single ladies don’t typically wear tiaras, unless they are born into the Royal Family as a princess.”

For her wedding day, Kate Middleton wore the Cartier Halo Tiara, according to Vogue. Her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau tiara, a 1932 tiara made in the Art Deco design, per Harper’s Bazaar.

Tiaras traditionally symbolize a loss of innocence. According to a Town & Country interview with London jewelry expert Geoffrey Munn, “The tiara has its roots in classical antiquity and was seen as an emblem of the loss of innocence to the crowning of love.” Hence the reason no one saw Middleton or Markle in a tiara until their wedding days. But that’s not the only noteworthy detail about the fancy headpieces.

Tiaras can only be worn at certain times of the day

Even now, Kate Middleton — who’s happily married to Prince William and the mother of the future king of England — can’t walk out of Kensington Palace at 10 a.m. wearing a tiara. (Can’t a woman live?!)

That’s because there are specific times and events for tiaras. “Tradition dictates that tiaras are not worn before 6 p.m., though weddings are an exception. They are worn on formal white tie events and state occasions such as state banquets,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Insider. “The decision on whether to wear a tiara is linked to the dress code of a particular event and also to personal preference.”

Interestingly, tiaras, unlike crowns, are not emblematic of “inherited rank,” according to Town & Country. It’s actually the grandiosity of the event, hence “white tie,” that allows for the wearing of tiaras. In fact, invitations would commonly indicate the importance of the event by stipulating: “Tiaras will be worn.”

Here’s another fact: Royals were never allowed to wear tiaras at hotels, according to Town & Country. That’s not the only restriction either. For modern women, hair products can be a hazard to the delicate jewelry: “Hairspray immediately deadens the color and fire of precious stones,” London jewelry expert Geoffrey Munn told the magazine. Some stylists will use a piece of cardboard to shield the tiara before applying hairspray, but having a lot of hair certainly helps hold the object in place.

Crowns come with their own rules, too

So, what’s the difference between a crown and a tiara? For starters, tiaras are only worn by women, while crowns are worn by both men and women, as Town & Country pointed out. While a tiara functions basically as glamorous jewelry, a crown symbolizes royalty. A crown — according to what expert Geoffrey Munn told Town & Country — “is not jewelry but regalia which has some emblematic function associated with sovereignty and nobility.”

Another fun fact: A small crown is called a coronet. According to Insider, the queen wore coronets while her father, King George VI, was still king. Usually, the only time men wear coronets is at a coronation, except in very rare circumstances. For instance, the last time Prince Charles wore a coronet was at his investiture in 1969.

According to Historic Royal Palaces, this coronet is on display in the Jewel House at The Tower of London for the first time. In fact, many of the Crown Jewels are on display at the Tower under the security of armed guards. Other parts of the queen’s collection are housed at The Royal Collection Trust — though this technically encompasses all of the royal palaces, residencies, and art galleries, so the collections aren’t housed in just one place, but rather, spread all over the United Kingdom.

If you ever do get a chance to check out the royal family’s jewels, now you’ll know more of the backstory behind them.

Deyjah Harris Opens up About Depression and Anxiety as She Restarts YouTube Channel

Rapper T.I. caused a firestorm after comments he made surrounding his daughter, Deyjah Harris, on a podcast. Deyjah, who was already popular on social media at the time, has even more followers than she did before the remarks. Using her influence for good and to open up about what she’s been through, Deyjah has restarted her YouTube channel, beginning things with a video about mental health.

T.I.’s comments about Deyjah went viral last year

Last year, T.I. received a lot of backlash after he revealed recently that he goes with 18-year-old Deyah to her OB-GYN appointments to make sure her “hymen is intact.” T.I. made the comment on the podcast, Ladies Like Us. The podcast went on to issue an official apology and the episode in question ended up being taken down.

His comments dominated headlines on blogs for weeks and the rapper and his wife, Tiny Harris, even went on Red Table Talk to discuss the situation amid the controversy.

For a while, Deyjah was off of social media for the most part during the aftermath, but later returned to Instagram, where she has a very huge following. She also posted a note on Twitter, thanking everyone who showed her support.

Deyjah Harris has restarted her YouTube with impactful content

Deyjah restarted her YouTube channel and kicked off content with a video series called “Mental Health Matters.”

Talking about the reason why she decided to talk about the issue, Deyjah said, “The purpose of this video is to basically just lend a helping hand so you can be better equipped for your journey ahead than I might have been,” she said. “I just want to be seen as who I am. I’m human, OK? You are like me and I’m like you in ways, whether you realize it or not.”

She explained, “Transparently speaking, depression and anxiety is something that I’ve been dealing with since about the age of 11. My self-esteem started to become an issue for me in the sixth grade due to bullying. I started to struggle with understanding what it was that I was feeling and I definitely knew that I wasn’t able to express what it was that I was going through.”

“So, without the proper knowledge and support, I eventually started to turn to self-inflicted coping mechanisms that weren’t too healthy or beneficial to me or my growth,” she continued.

Deyjah also made a post on Instagram which talked about the recent YouTube video, why she made it, and what she hopes people get out of it.

21-year-old who posted about not social distancing gets coronavirus

A 21-year-old Tennessee woman who bragged on social media about not taking the coronavirus outbreak seriously has been diagnosed with the deadly illness, according to a report.

Ireland Tate joked about not following instructions to stay home and practice social distancing amid the pandemic just days before she fell sick, news station WZTV reported.

In a social media video, the Nashville resident told her followers that she’s “aware that we’re supposed to be self-quarantining and social distancing” to “keep everyone safe” — but that she wasn’t worried.

“Cool. I get it. I just don’t think that I’m going to get the virus,” Tate said in the video.

But just days later, Tate found herself suffering from symptoms associated with the dangerous bug and tested positive.

“It feels like someone is sitting on my chest at all times,” she said. “It’s really hard to breathe. I’ve coughed until my throat has bled.”

Tate said she likely got the virus from a pal in her group of friends and she’s now warning other young people to stay home.

“While it may not be affecting you, you could be affecting someone’s grandma or grandpa or aunt or uncle or sister,” Tate told the outlet.

The Worst Thing About Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul's Dos Hombres Mezcal

It’s hard to name a more iconic duo than Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. The two Breaking Bad leads had a complicated relationship that fans couldn’t get enough of. In fact, fans are so crazy about these two together that it’s kept them from doing another on screen project together.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are actually really close in real life. When Breaking Bad ended, they wanted to do another project together. Unfortunately, they quickly realized they couldn’t do another movie or TV show.

Any time Cranston and Paul are together, fans automatically assume it’s Breaking Bad related, even if they’re not in character. The association meant that another on-screen endeavor might not have been a good idea. So they went in a different direction for their next collaboration.

Dos Hombres Mezcal was plan B for Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul

The two were talking about their next move over drinks, when the drink itself gave them the inspiration they were looking for. Paul was more into the Mezcal idea. According to Paul, he’s “been such a fan of mezcal for many years.”

He was able to get Cranston on board without much effort, however. Even though Cranston knew of the drink, it wasn’t the high-end Mezcal like Dos Hombres. “When I was in high school and college, drinking mezcal was like a challenge. It was so bad—the little worm at the bottom of it—and it tasted and smelled like antiseptic or rubbing alcohol.”

Paul introduced Cranston to a more elevated Mezcal, and Cranston agreed to try and make a business out of it.

It took a long time for Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul to make Dos Hombres Mezcal happen

Just because Cranston was on board doesn’t mean that they had Dos Hombres bottled and ready for the shelves. The two wanted to make sure any product they put out was completely perfect. It took them three years to get it right. According to Paul, “It was a journey, but we always swore to each other that we didn’t want to put something out in the market that we didn’t feel was truly perfect.”

Finding something perfect for both of them was complicated. Cranston prefers a Mezcal with a smoky flavor and less punch, but Paul didn’t want to lose the punch entirely. When they found the Mezcal that would become Dos Hombres, they both knew immediately it was the one.

They did blind taste tests with friends and families to be sure, and the future Dos Hombres always came out on top.

The worst thing about Dos Hombres Mezcal is not everyone can get it

There’s not much not to like about Dos Hombres. Cranston and Paul obviously did their homework. It’s guaranteed to be a top notch product, from two top-notch hombres.

But not everyone will be able to find out right away. Dos Hombres is only available in 12 states in the US. Fans can also try it in its native Mexico, the Dominican Republic, or the Caymans.

For fans who can get a bottle of Dos Hombres, they should know that Cranston and Paul poured their hearts and souls into this project, just like they did with Breaking Bad.

According to Cranston, this project isn’t much different from an on-screen project for these two. “This is like a movie opening for us. We’ve opened up and there’s excitement to it. We know that we have a great product. We have a good bottle. Great label. Everything’s working for us in that sense.”

Andi Dorfman Jokes About Texting Her Bachelor Nation Exes — And One Responds!

Bachelor Nation: Just like Us. Andi Dorfman nearly broke the unwritten rule of self-quarantine — don’t text your ex.

The former Bachelorette, 32, joked about reaching out to Nick Viall and Chris Soules on Monday, March 23, via her Instagram Stories.

After sharing a photo of herself sipping on a martini from her New York City apartment, Dorfman posted a meme that read, “I’m about two days and/or three martinis away from texting all of my exes.”

She added, “Honestly though.”

Dorfman then shared a screenshot of a blank group text to Viall, 39, and Soules, 38.

The “Viall Files” podcast host and the farmer both competed for the It’s Not Okay author’s heart on season 10 of The Bachelorette, finishing in second and third, respectively. Dorfman noticeably didn’t include her ex-fiancé Josh Murray, who won her season. Less than a year after they got engaged, the twosome had a nasty breakup, which she detailed in her 2016 memoir.

“I was trapped with someone who, in my opinion, often behaved like an emotional abuser,” she wrote. “If I talked to another man, I was a ‘whore.’ If I disagree, I was ‘argumentative.’ If I defied him, I was a ‘bitch.’” (Murray, 35, has denied all of Dorfman’s claims against him.)

Dorfman is, however, on good terms with Viall. The former Bachelor even shared the Single State of Mind author’s fake text on Monday via his Instagram Stories, adding a thinking emoji. Days before Dorfman’s post, Viall actually reflected on his time on on the dating series during an Instagram Live with Chris Harrison, who is talking to ABC execs about streaming old seasons of the show amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“If you’re gonna air any of my seasons, can it be like Bachelor in Paradise or The Bachelor?” Viall asked on Thursday, March 19. “Maybe, Kaitlyn’s was a good season, I’m fine with that, but can we just skip Andi’s season altogether?”

Viall, who appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season 11 of The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise season 3 and was the lead on season 21 of The Bachelor, made headlines when he asked Dorfman why she “made love” to him when he wasn’t “in love with him” during the live After the Final Rose special in 2014.

“Though it would be kind of fascinating given, like, you know, different times right?” Viall told Harrison. “Five years ago and now we have the windmill, and back then it was like, it probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal now, that’s for sure. But I would rather just ignore Andi’s season altogether. I’m all for playing the Nick Viall marathon. But you have to tell the whole story. You can’t just air Andi’s season and just leave it.”

Shay Mitchell Opens Up About Her Emotions ‘Going Up and Down’ After Baby

Getting the hang of it! Shay Mitchell admitted that her squad has been key to her success as a new mother, four months after giving birth to daughter Atlas.

“I feel like definitely having the support system around you,” Mitchell, 32, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her partnership up with Pampers’ Share the Love campaign on Wednesday, February 19. “Because I think especially having a newborn, you’re going up and down with your emotions and dealing with all new things that I’ve never had to deal with before.”

The Pretty Little Liars alum, who was vocal about her prepartum depression before giving birth, explained that having a strong circle of people has been imperative to her healthy life as a mom.

“It’s all the unknown is what I call it. So having a good group of friends and people around you who have either been through it, or can just be an ear to listen to all of your thoughts, and stories of what’s been going on [is key],” she told Us. “But you know, I have a really, really good support team and so I’ve been really fortunate with that.”

The You star has leaned on old and new friends during both her pregnancy and her first few months as a mom.

“My best friend had a baby a year before me, so it was really fresh in her mind, everything that I was going through,” Mitchell said. “But then even new friends that I’ve met on social media who was pregnant at the same time, now we’ve become friends.”

The Canadian actress revealed that she’s been in a “newborn haze” since welcoming Atlas with her partner, Matte Babel, in October 2019. In order to stay positive and not panic at all the newness, Mitchell has turned to the message behind the Pampers Share the Love campaign.

“Honestly, I really do think it’s a whole messaging behind this campaign is that you don’t have to be perfect. And I think that that’s something that I, you know, I’m just constantly reminding myself every day, no one’s perfect,” she told Us. “You don’t have to be perfect. You’re perfect to them, you know? And just that kind of constant reminder.”

She added: “Being a new mom, it’s all about supporting each other.”
