Antoine Griezmann wants to take Philippe Coutinho’s shirt number at Barcelona next season.

Griezmann has worn No 17 since joining Barca from Atletico Madrid last summer, but has now set his sights on No 7 – currently worn by Coutinho.

“I would like to get the number seven shirt again,” Griezmann said during a live Twitch stream.

Barcelona are open to offers for Coutinho this summer and will consider bids in the region of €80m (£69.45m).

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is thought to be keen on the Brazilian given his proven Premier League quality.

  • MORNING CHELSEA FANS

The Blues have reportedly been given a boost in their quest to sign Jadon Sancho with the Borussia Dortmund ace ready to reject Manchester United if they fail to secure Champions League football.

Sancho is the prime target for United in the next transfer window but the huge uncertainty created by the coronavirus crisis means the Borussia Dortmund star has no need to hurry any decision.

But should the Red Devils land Sancho, then it could pave the way for Chelsea to complete the signing of Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho.

Spanish outlet Sport are reporting that the United have stolen the march on the Blues in the race to sign Sancho meaning Frank Lampard's side are likely to turn their attention to Barcelona's Coutinho.

Reportedly boss Lampard has asked Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich for a substantial war chest to strengthen his attacking resources this summer.

And Sancho is also being chased by Callum Hudson-Odoi, with the England winger wanting to play his compatriot on Fifa 20.

Speaking to MOTDx, the teenage he said: “Listen, do you know who I’m calling? I’m calling this person on purpose because he always thinks he’s better than me but he knows he’s not. I’m calling Sanch. Jadon Sancho.

“I’m waiting for you to play me right now. I don’t care where you are, what you’re doing, you need to play me. Make sure you’re ready.”

In other news, Chelsea are reportedly battling Arsenal for the signature of Achraf Hakimi – with the Moroccan full-back impressing on loan at BVB.

The Athletic state that should Real Madrid want to offload him, the two London clubs are ready to snap him up.

And finally, TEAMtalk state the Gunners are ready to hand Willian a two-year deal should the Brazilian not sign a new deal at the Bridge.

  • FRANCE SHOCK

Ligue 1 side Stade de Remis are in shock tonight after club doctor Bernard Gonzalez tragically committed suicide after contracting coronavirus.

According to reliable reports in Le Parisien, the 60-year took his own life at home on Sunday afternoon, linking his death with getting COVID-19.

It is understood he was in quarantine with his wife – who also had the virus – when the devastating incident occurred.

He is believed to have written a suicide note, explaining the reasons he killed himself.

His death has said to have caused heartbreak throughout the city in northern France, according to its mayor Arnaud Robinet.

He added: “He was the club doctor. A great professional, recognised and appreciated by all.

“I have a touched thought for his parents, for his wife, his family.

“He is a collateral victim of COVID-19, because it had been detected positive and was inside for a fortnight.

“I know he left a note to explain his gesture, but I ignore its content. He was a committed man.”

  • PAY 'N DISMAY

EXCLUSIVE by Mark Irwin: Some Premier League clubs fear they are being pushed into an unwanted war with their players by top-flight rivals.

Teams are alarmed by the PFA’s rejection of the proposal for ALL players to take a wage cut or pay deferral of up to 30 per cent.

And while some billionaire club owners are ready for a confrontation, others want to ease off and reach an amicable compromise agreement with the players’ union, who fear the wage-cut proposal will cost the Government £200million in lost taxes.

More talks are planned this week and a number of chief executives are looking to take the heat out of the situation.

But there is a growing feeling that at least three clubs are looking to take advantage of the coronavirus crisis to slash their annual wage bills.

PFA bosses are angry their members are being singled out for criticism after Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle, Norwich and Bournemouth put non-playing staff on furlough.

Top-flight stars feel they are being blamed for the actions of owners who are asking the taxpayer to pick up the tab for their lowest-paid workers.

  • EUR OFF

Both the Champions League and Europa League could be ABANDONED if coronavirus shutdown continues, warns Uefa chief Aleksander Ceferin.

The Uefa boss added that playing behind closed doors would be the preferred option to scrapping games all together.

Ceferin told ZDF Sportstudio: “We are waiting for the development of this terrible situation in the world, and mainly in Europe. Football isn’t the same without fans. But it is definitely better to play with fans than without fans.

“The thing is, football is absolutely not the same without spectators.

“But it is still better to play the game behind closed doors and have it on TV, which is what the people need and want because it brings positive energy to their homes, than not playing at all.

“That’s what the people want, that brings positive energy, and it will be July or August. We can’t play it out in September or October.”

“If the authorities do not allow us to play, then we cannot play.”

'American Idol': Twitter Is Torn Between Contestants Lauren & Grace

Once again, this season of American Idol is throwing fans an unexpected twist.

On Sunday’s new episode — shot months ago at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, before the coronavirus pandemic — fans were expecting to learn which stars were moving on to the Top 20 and which had overstayed their welcome.

At the end of the night, with only one position left, the Final Judgement came down to Lauren Mascitti and Grace Leer, two country music-leaning vocalists who each delivered stellar performances this round.

As both singers waited to learn their fate, judge Luke Bryan had a big surprise in store: Neither were going home — yet!

“Your performances last night, both of them were really great,” Bryan told the contestants. “We have one position left, and we couldn’t make a decision… [so] we’re going to turn it over to America.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=QxFFn-Ubihs%3Ffeature%3Doembed

For the first time, viewers will get a chance to vote online on who should earn a place in the Top 20, and who should get the axe. It’s a surprising cliffhanger as two women’s fates hang in the balance, and Twitter had a lot of conflicting opinions.

And not just about who should move on, but also on whether or not it was right to pit the two hopefuls against each other, instead of rewarding them for their stellar work. Quite a few felt that some of the others who’d gotten guaranteed spots on the Top 20 didn’t deserve it as much as Leer and Mascitti.

Fans can vote for their favorite on the American Idol website, or text “Lauren” or “Grace” to 21523. Voting ends 9 a.m. ET on April 7.

While viewers will find out who got picked to move on next Sunday, this did mark the last new episode for Idol before the ongoing coronavirus pandemic led the show to halt production on the current season before the live rounds kicked off.

7am Chelsea news LIVE: Philippe Coutinho transfer LATEST, Sancho wants Champions League football, Tottenham want Giroud – The Sun

CHELSEA are eyeing up a big summer rebuild to back Frank Lampard when the transfer window opens – with the club's transfer ban lifted.

We have the latest transfer talk on the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Alex Telles and Philippe Coutinho and – but the Blues could miss out on Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Meanwhile, should Chelsea hope to sign Jadon Sancho, they will need to be playing Champions League football next season.

Follow all the latest updates and gossip from West London below…

  • MORNING, CHELSEA FANS

Transfer talk is buzzing around the Bridge – concerning Jadon Sancho, Lautaro Martinez, Philippe Coutinho and even Brazil legend Robinho!

Let's get that last one out the way – so as not to add a small worry to Blues’ fans at a time when there are far bigger things to focus on

The İstanbul Başakşehir playmaker, now 36, has revealed he wanted to join Chelsea over Manchester City when he left Real Madrid in 2008 after two successive LaLiga titles.

Any hopes the Blues have of signing England attacker Jadon Sancho rose after the suggestion the 20-year-old wants Champions League football next season.

That dampens Manchester United's hopes of signing him, even if Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar's Solskjaer might be given a bigger cheque book than his Chelsea counterpart Frank Lampard.

And the Blues might also be encouraged to hear reports Barcelona are ready to sell “flop” Philippe Coutinho for half the £140million they paid Liverpool two years ago.

Arsenal, Spurs and even his old club have all been linked with the Brazil playmaker, 27, who is on loan with Bayern Munich.

But Barca are said to have offered Chelsea target and Argentina striker Martinez £170,000 a week to move from Inter Milan in the next transfer window.

Meanwhile, Inter's Serie A rivals Atalanta reportedly want to make Croatia midfielder Mario Pasalic's loan deal from Stamford Bridge permanent this summer.

Finally, Chelsea are vying with Arsenal for Real Madrid's Morocco full-back Achraf Hakimi, according to The Athletic.

The 21-year-old has been a stand-out Bundesliga performer on loan with Borussia Dortmund this term.

  • STARS REFUSE TO BAIL OUT 'RICH OWNERS'

Premier League players are refusing to bail out their clubs as English football heads towards civil war.

Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Watford captain Troy Deeney and West Ham skipper Mark Noble led the fightback in a video conference that served only to deepen divisions in the game.

Premier League chiefs and club executives thought the players were ready to buy into their proposal for a wage cut or deferral of up to 30 per cent designed to stave off financial meltdown caused by the coronavirus crisis.

But the message they got back was: ‘We’d rather give our cash to the NHS than help out our rich owners’.

And the PFA  supported the hardline stance with a strong statement that hit back at criticism of players from politicians.

The players’ union claimed such a big cut in stars’ wages would actually damage the public services that were fighting the pandemic.

The PFA said: “The proposed 30 per cent salary deduction over a 12-month period equates to over £500million in wage reductions and a loss in tax contributions of over £200m to the Government.

“What effect does this loss of earning to the Government mean to the NHS?

“Was this considered in the Premier League proposal and did the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, factor this in when asking players to take a salary cut?”

  • CHELSEA CHERRY PICKING?

Bournemouth are set to end their ‘spend, spend, spend’ policy – puting Manchester United, Spurs and Chelsea on alert over Callum Wilson and Josh King.

Owner Maxim Demin has backed the Cherries' success story during their remarkable rise to the Premier League.

But now boss Eddie Howe is bracing for a shake-up in the next transfer window and strikers Wilson and King, both 28, could be the ones to bring in the cash.

Bournemouth have collected a lot of young players in the past few seasons but have been unable to make a profit on them.

Dominic Solanke and Jordon Ibe arrived from Liverpool with big prices and big reputations but have failed to deliver.

The South Coast outfit will lose Ibe and Ryan Fraser at the end of their contracts this summer.

Winger David Brooks, 22, would also be a wanted man if he had not missed the season with a serious ankle injury.

  • UTD FEAR SANCHO SNUB IF THEY MISS TOP 4

Chelsea target Jadon Sancho is ready to reject Manchester United if they fail to secure Champions League football.

Sancho is the prime target for United in the next transfer window but the huge uncertainty created by the coronavirus crisis means the Borussia Dortmund star has no need to hurry any decision.

And sources indicate that playing in Europe’s biggest competition remains an important consideration for the England winger in choosing his next employers.

Prior to the coronavirus lockdown, reports claimed United were prepared to offer Sancho an astonishing £400,000-per-week deal to pick them over the other big clubs in the race to sign him.

But Liverpool, Chelsea and other suitors will have renewed hope that they can win the race once football’s future becomes clear.

Much will depend on if, when and how the outstanding issues from the current Premier League season are resolved – and the progress of Manchester City’s appeal against their two-season ban from European competition.

If City’s suspension is upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, even for a reduced period of one year, then fifth place, where United currently sit, would almost certainly be enough to qualify for the Champions League.

But should City succeed in avoiding a ban or at least postponing it, United would have work to do.

  • JADON CALLED OUT

Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has called on rumoured Blues target Jadon Sancho… to play him at Fifa20.

Speaking to MOTDx, the teenage England international said: “Listen, do you know who I’m calling? I’m calling this person on purpose because he always thinks he’s better than me but he knows he’s not. I’m calling Sanch. Jadon Sancho.

“I’m waiting for you to play me right now. I don’t care where you are, what you’re doing, you need to play me. Make sure you’re ready.

“Every time I speak to him I’m like, 'Oi, Sanch, let’s play FIFA' or he’ll be like, 'Cal let’s play' and I’m always like, 'Ah I’m doing something' and he’s saying he’s doing something.

“We never get to play, so now I’m telling him, listen, I’m ready. Let’s play, let’s go. I’m ready for you now. Make sure you get this on stream, everything, make sure it’s live so everyone knows what’s happening. It has to be there.”

3pm Arsenal news LIVE: Ozil sends Gnabry tweet as he wears Gunners shirt, Willian to be available, Jose Reyes tragedy – The Sun

MIKEL ARTETA is plotting an overhaul at Arsenal after winning his own personal battle with coronavirus.

Serge Gnabry turned heads by wearing a Gunners shirt in a video, but it is unlikely Arteta could lure him back from Bayern Munich.

But we have all the latest transfer talk and more information about the Jose Reyes tragedy.

Follow all the latest Arsenal news and gossip with our blog below…

  • GUNNER MAKE A MOVE

Willian has put Arsenal on red alert by admitting contract negotiations at Chelsea have come to a standstill.

He told Expediente Futebol: “Really a very beautiful story that I built at this club, I have a very special affection for the fans, for the people who work there and I identified myself a lot here.

“Everyone knows that my contract ends now in a few months, so the renewal is really a difficult thing to happen.

“I think it will be very difficult for me to renew because Chelsea offered me two years, I asked for three and it ended there, we didn’t talk anymore, we didn’t negotiate anymore.

“Three years – Chelsea said it would be impossible, so for now theres this difficulty, but nothing is impossible.

“We don’t know what can happen, suddenly we could make a deal and get it right. But what I can say today is that my contract is going over and I will be free to negotiate with any team.”

  • COUT COUP

Chelsea are in negotiations with Philippe Coutinho over a summer transfer, according to reports.

The Brazilian, 27, is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona for the season.

But according to Sport, the Bavarians are unwilling to exercise their £105million option to buy him at the end of his spell.

And now it is thought Chelsea made a march on Arsenal to land Coutinho by contacting the player's agent Kia Joorabchian, with whom they have a strong relationship.

  • CUT YOUR CLOTH

Premier League stars are being urged to take a pay cut during the coronavirus pandemic with a potential £100million ready to be contributed to the fight.

Clubs across Europe are instilling salary reductions to ensure regular staff are paid during football's lockdown – but English football is yet to agree on its next step.

The latest official accounts on player wages, tallied by Deloitte, outline a massive £2.9billion earned annually across the top-flight.

Given these numbers are for the 2017/18 season, they are undoubtedly higher now after salaries rose 15 per cent to reach that figure from the previous year.

Therefore a simple two-month pay cut of 20 per cent across the board would raise at least £100m to ensure staff are paid and to help the NHS.

And that figure rockets up to £150m if the cut is either extended to three months or two months' wages are reduced by 30 per cent.

  • ANGEL GABRIEL

Arsenal have sent their fans wild by joining in the opendoorchallenge by commemorating Gabriel Martinelli's goal against Chelsea.

  • TAKING THE MKH

Arsenal have reportedly rejected two bids from Roma to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a permanent basis.

The Express claim the Serie A sides latest offer was in the region of £10million for the Armenian, who has impressed on loan in Italy.

  • MORNING, GUNNERS FANS

Arsenal’s season may be coming to an end amid the coronavirus crisis.

But that doesn’t mean Mikel Arteta isn’t already considering his ins and outs for the next campaign.

Arsenal are thought to be keen on signing a new right-back.

And it’s reckoned Everton’s Jonjoe Kenny is in their sights this summer.

The 23-year-old has impressed on loan at Schalke this season and could now find himself competing with Hector Bellerin to start at the Emirates.

Meanwhile, it’s believed Arsenal have been priced out of a move for Ousmane Dembele – despite the winger being surplus to requirements at Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are apparently seeking £110million for the injury-prone Frenchman.

But Arsenal do not have that kind of cash in their budget but will take hope in the fact that Dembele has just two years remaining on his Nou Camp deal.

Arsenal are also said to have lost out in the race for Gent wonderkid Jonathan David.

The £20m-rated Canadian winger is wanted by the Gunners to boost their options in the final third.

But it’s believed David prefers a move to Barcelona as that’s where his idol Ronaldinho became the world’s best player over a decade ago.

  • DAN DEAL

Arsenal's hopes of signing Dani Ceballos were given a boost as Zinedine Zidane put him on a list of stars who could leave Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.

Zidane needs to cut down his current squad of 37 – including those out on loan – to fit within the 25-man quota for next season.

And it is thought Ceballos, 23, could well be one of the 12 at risk of facing the chop – as well as the likes of Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.

According to the Daily Star, the Gunners will be hopeful of securing a new deal for the man they have on loan at the Emirates until June 30 – either on loan again or on a permanent deal.

  • WRIGHT ATTITUDE

Ian Wright “hated” Alan Shearer because of his England team-mate's annoying supremacy in bagging Premier League goals.

Arsenal legend Wrighty is now “proud” to be the Newcastle great's friend – but in the 1990s it seemed he wanted to give his rival striker a Golden Boot up the backside.

On his My Classic Football Shirts Warehouse Tour show, Wrighty picked up a Shearer top and said: “Proud to call him my friend now..but when we were playing I hated him.- simply because of his hunger to score goals.on a weekly basis.

“You come in and you've scored two, Shearer scores three. If you scored two, Shearer scored one. If you score three Shearer scores two.

“So you can never catch up with him. And we're talking about someone who had three years out of the game with real bad injuries and he's still got 260. He's still way out in front.

“I'm not sure really people realise the enormity of his achievement.”

  • TRUE GENT

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea have suffered a transfer blow with £20m Gent wonderkid Jonathan David reportedly preferring a move to Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the young midfielder would prefer a move to La Liga giants Barcelona.

He has been a long standing admirer of former Barcelona star Ronaldinho for his playing style and trademark smile.

The Catalan giants need to replace Luis Suarez as he is set to miss most of the rest of the season – when it resumes – after he had surgery on a troublesome knee injury.

David has been hailed as the most flexible forward in the Belgian top-flight, with the youngster capable of fitting in across the front-line.

  • GRIEZY PEASY

Barcelona are considering part-exchanging Antoine Griezmann for Neymar, according to reports.

Barca value Griezmann at £88million while Paris Saint-Germain want £135m for Neymar and the two could do a swap deal, according to Sky Sports News.

Arsenal are among the teams believed to be looking at Griezmann.

While Neymar has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in recent transfer windows.

Kristen Bell Explains Why Quarantining With Dax Shepard Has Been Hard

Kristen Bell is telling it like it is when it comes to being cooped up with family amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 39-year-old actress video chatted with ET’s Kevin Frazier on Wednesday, and admitted that she and husband Dax Shepard were not getting along when they first started quarantining together in their home.

“We’ve gotten on each other’s last nerve these last couple days,” Bell confides. “We’re doing much better now because were laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that’s the hard spot.”

The Frozen 2 star explained why she and Shepard were having such trouble being around one another. “I love spending time with him and he loves spending time with me but I think what is different about this quarantine time is you have so much more time to think about the other persona and their actions and sort of replay what they said or attach a meaning to something that they did and that I could do without,” she shares. “Nobody really needs time for that. That’s useless.”

Bell noted that they are good about finding space alone for themselves in the house. “You got to in a marriage. You got to,” she insists.

As for their daughters, 7-year-old Lincoln and 5-year-old Delta, Bell said she made a big decision at the start of their quarantine.

“The biggest lesson I learned in the beginning was I wrote out the color-coded schedule — when our academic time would be and when our art time would be. By day five, I was making everybody miserable,” she recalls. “The kids hated that I was trying to adhere to the schedule. So about a week ago, I woke them up and I said, ‘This is your most important mission ever. Get up.’ I brought them in the kitchen and I had them rip up the schedule. …I had them shred it and they felt so good. I said the learning lesson here is that if you make a plan and it’s not working, you pivot.”

Bell said everyone in her household now has a lot more “free time” and it’s been good for them. “We’re doing just art projects around the house. We have neon glow paint and we’ve been painting the rocks outside so they glow and just doing silly stuff,” she muses. “Just reconnecting with each other and I think that’s the most valuable lesson.”

Aside from rock painting, the family has managed to keep busy in other ways.

“They can read the clock now, but other than that, we’ve just been doing sticker books and talking. We’ve watched the whole Harry Potter series. My daughters are very into Harry Potter,” she notes. “My oldest turned seven last week, and I had ordered some decorations prior to this all happening, prior to everything getting shut down. We were able to put up a Harry Potter banner. And all the Hogwarts house banners all over the windows. She was pretty thrilled about that. We all wore our Harry Potter tattoos.”

A proud moment Bell had as a mother during this tough time is when her daughters decided to donate their own money to No Kid Hungry, which helps to feed children in America.

“I think [their donation] was, like, $9.72 but the thought to me exploded my heart. They knew that there was a need and know how lucky we are and wanted to help,” she gushes.

The girls are taking after their parents, who have been generous with both their time and donations during the coronavirus pandemic. Here’s more on the family’s philanthropy:

Stephen Curry Admits It Took Him 5 Hours to Build a Basketball Hoop at Home

Stephen Curry is adhering to social distancing guidelines and staying at home — and now, he can get back to the sport he loves while doing it.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Curry revealed that after self-isolating with his family at their home for two weeks during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, his wife Ayesha Curry ordered him an outdoor basketball hoop.

Dealing with the hoop after it arrived, though, wasn’t nearly as easy as clicking buy.

“I got overwhelmed looking at the manual,” the 32-year-old admitted, sharing that it took “a pretty serious effort” and five hours to actually assemble his new hoop.

Said Curry to the outlet, “I was very confident in myself going in. That was shot down pretty quick.”

All-in, Curry, a father of three, went 16 days without playing basketball — the longest time the Golden State Warrior player has ever abstained from the sport at which he excels.

The NBA suspended the season in March after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. The league was among the first in the professional sports world to do so and was quickly followed by the NHL, MLB, and more.

“Our problems, when it comes to trying to find workouts or stay in shape, are the least of anyone’s worries in terms of what’s going on in the world,” Curry told the Journal.

The past few weeks, Curry said, NBA players have used Zoom video chat to keep in touch.

Curry has also been using his social media to highlight the importance of following government recommendations to slow the spread of the virus, also known as COVID-19.

In fact, he led an in-depth chat with Dr. Anthony Fauci on his Instagram, asking questions to the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases about coronavirus. The live Q&A drew around 50,000 viewers.

For now, Curry is working on staying in shape on his new home court.

“I feel like a little 12-year-old kid out there running around, simulating game shots in my driveway,” he told the outlet.
